It’s really surreal travelling over 5,000miles to a music festival in the states, to see one of your favourite Scottish bands. Hearing “We’re We Were Promised Jetpacks” in a broad Edinburgh accent blaring across the sound system was just… familiar yet completly out of place. No “yeeehaaaah” no, “fuck yeah man” in a really american accent. Just plain, simple and Scottish.

I’m not going to sit and gush about how amazing the boys were (because yes, they were that good). Instead, I’m going to give you the key to finding out for yourself!

You can either watch live, at approx. 9.30pm in the UK, 1.30pm in the East coast of the US, or you can, very handily, watch it again at a time that suits you via the same link!

Go on, you don’t want to hear me shout about how great it was being there, how electric the crowd was, how sunburnt I got watching them, how amazing Coachella was as a whole, how I went to Coachella……. (I’ll start boring myself soon too don’t worry!)

Did anyone use the Heineken Cold Storage for their beers? Why is there no user info on this at all? Looks like it should have been a huge hit.

The problem of keeping your beer cold at outdoor music festivals has plagued festival patrons for years. For Coachella 2012, Heineken has come up with a novel solution: a cold storage room accessible by fingerprint. 

What you do: Grab up to two cases of green cans and take them to the Heineken Cold Storage Room, where you’ll give your name and have your fingerprint scanned. The Heineken folks tag and store your brew, letting you go catch the next hot set while your beer is chilled to a perfect 34 degrees (this only takes 30 minutes). When you’re ready, pick up your beer—and a rebate for $25 off the purchase of your Coachella ticket.

This service will be available during both Coachella weekends, April 13-15 and 20-22.
